Hi I am putting on some participation games of Flying Lead at the Abingdon show 'Overlord' this Sunday (7th March). The games will alternate between: 'That's our Scrumpy!' - the Kernow Independence League try to rescue their cider from the local British Union of Fascists HQ 'Rescue on Px32T' - SG-1 arrive to rescue an Asgard politician from being impregnated with a G'ould lava! www.abingdonwargames.org.uk/overlord.htm#Come and play a game if you are around Rich J

A good day was had by all ... the rules were received very well and there should be a gamut of orders heading in ... bizarrely some people were put off them (until they saw them and played) as they are too cheap - over here people tend to think: Free - good Expensive - good Very Expensive - probably good Cheap - crap Weird !! Anyway here are some photos - not good as I took them with my phone: We only played the 'A Very British Civil War' game as there was a lot of interest in this 'genre' over here at the moment. Anyway it was a break through scenario with the 'Kernow (Devon and Cornwall) Separatist League' were trying to break through a barricade the North Devon Union of Fascists had put up to seal off the beach (as there was a clandestine arms drop going on) - basically the surf as going off and the surfer group wanted their waves - although if anyone asks they were after the arms (rumours are the surf scene in Apocalypse now was based on the action ) SO here are the KSL The table: Players tried various approaches to trying to break down the barricade: It didn't work! The games over the day were even between wins for the sides ... which made me happy as it showed the rules worked and it was down to the tactics ... all good fun but you need to use 'real tactics' to do well !
