Starting our new campaign next week, we are using the flexibility of Tales to allow us to play a game with a bit of a twist, the party are minions of 'the Dark Lord' and will be playing scenarios that my various groups have played over the years from 'the other side'. So far we've got a low level 'liche' and a lizardman (although I think I'm going to encourage him to be a kobold). Going for something of a Dungeonlord meets the three stooges approach Lots of crossover with songs and all played out on floorplans to give a real tactical feel. I'll keep posting

Campaign developing further..... the group are now going to be underlings scrabbling for power under the same Darklord. Each player will have their own dungeon and 'empire' using Song of Deeds and Glory. They'll play normal Songs games in that campaign, but every so often they'll be forced to work together for their Lord in a game of Tales. So, maybe they have to go capture a beast in forest or assasinate a local cleric for him/help defend his dungeon againt Crusaders. Lots of grudging cooperation. As the players progress their own dungeons will increase, we'll be creating these with floorplans, that way, when someoen snaps and attacks a 'team mates' dungeon we'll already have it built.

We needed some magical items for the first game..... trying out some cards. Picture on one side to show the players with a text box description on the back. GMs can then give as much information from the rest of the cards as is required.

Jose can you please email me all the magic items you develop and test? I am writing a magic items section in the GM's book and they might come in handy.

Certainly can Do you want the cards? They aren't masterpieces, but the artwork is all my own too. We saw them as a 'magic item deck' for dungeon delving type adventures. I'm working on something similar for a random dungeon with a corridor and room deck.

Going for a 'Dungeon deck' approach in our game... each player has an A4 file box and stores relevant cards etc.. as they are collected. The card folds over so the GM only needs to show the image while reading the back and with holding any info the PCs don't have access to. The character 'art' is one of my double sided figures. So they match the in game models too
