I've just put a posting about my "Song of the Rings" project, in which I will use SBH to play games based on the Lord of the Rings films on my blog at dereksweetoys.com/Here's a picture of Saruman and some of his Uruks.

They look excellent, and I'll be keeping tabs on your website from now on. Its amazing how much better a model looks when its properly based. I'm actually using Star Wars pre-paints for a War of the Force project (using the War of the Ring rules) and in the meantime waiting for the Sci-Fi rule supplement of SBH to arrive so I can get some skirmishing in too. regards Blaxkleric www.fantorical.blogspot.com/

Agree with you re basing. To my eyes just about any painted figure on a decent base looks better than an excellent figure on a bad base.
I've got some of the Star Wars prepaints as well and will use them at some point. Haven't got any of the Stormtroopers from episodes IV-V1 though.

The figures are about 40mm tall. here's a pictire of one of them next to a Citadel Lord of the Rings figure. I've been using a 3ft square table (about 90cm) and the same measurements as are recommended for 25mm figures.

I've rebased a load of Combat Hex figures too - mainly for the GW LoTR game, but I have used them for SoBH. They seem to be getting a little harder to find now, but I got most of mine very cheaply indeed a couple of years ago. It's a shame that the mounted figures tend to be hard to find and overpriced. I tend to use a bigger table (around 120cm square) but have stuck with 28mm measuring sticks so far.

I am liking your Uruki and i will also be keeping an eye on your blog. I really like SoBH for LotR gaming, the 'official' rules just don't cut it for me.
