Hi, as a french player of FL and H&M (reviewing both soon on uluelsomalien.blogspot.com ;D ) I have some problems with "activation rule" understanding. There is no full description of a "turn" so, is it the COMPLETE activation of ALL models from both sides ? Then, if a turn over happen but there is no more unit to activate on other side, nothing happens ? And, where is the description of "Poor shot" rule ? (this is a little out of the main subject but, as Ed Texeira from THW does, GG could sent PDF files to hard cover buyer, because pdf files allow a "CTRL+F" search ;D) Many thanks and sorry for my bad english

Poor shot - means -1 on shooting as the not really Jaffa in the not really stargate scenario.
Activation - a player's turn is over as soon as play is passed to the opponent (either because of a fail 2 dice roll orall the figures the player wants have been activated). When the opponent's turn is over it is a players NEW turn and they can try and activate whoever they like. There is no requirement for a player to activate all their figures before activating one again in the following turn.

Thanks for responding But then, when must both players roll dice for initiative (and JOY CARD)? So, for examplePLAYER A have Q3, Q4 and Q5 models PLAYER B have Q3, Q4 and Q5 models too Beginning of the game : roll for activation (I don't speak about set up etc) then PLAYER A (who won activation) try to activate Q4 but fail (end of TURN 1 or player A turn 1?)PLAYER B activates Q3 and Q4 but fails to activate Q5 (end of TURN 2 ? or player B turn 1)PLAYER A may activate any of his modelsWhen the Joy-Card-thingy is rolled ?

Player A wins initiative (only time this is done)
Player A - rolls for activation of characters in turn 1 ... say he activates a group and then one other but then rolls 2 fails on a Q4 soldier - it is then PLAYER A's First Turn over. Player B - then rolls for activation ... only player A's figures on overwatch will be able to fire on his side ... player B then rolls 2 fails so it his First Turn OVER.
At this point TURN 1 is OVER and it is TURN 2 - before anything else happens roll for JOYS of War card.
TURN 2 - Player A can try and activate ANY figure etc etc

I understand the procedure for determining who starts, how you move, and when your turn is over, but I have no idea what a Joys of War card is, and I just read the index but couldn't find it. Is it an alternative rule? Can you point me to it?

Joys of War cards are included in the supplement "Hears and Minds".
