Hello all, I just wanted to move this over from the Yahoo group to the message board. We are running a SBH/ SDG campaign at Village Games in Anoka, MN. We started a blog to track the progress. Check it out here: villagegamessdg.blogspot.com/I'll also use this thread to update everyone on major developements if you don't feel like checking it every day. But you will anyway, I know it! Chris

I've just posted the result for week 6 of our campaign on the blog. Also posted are the overall campaign results! It was a lot of fun, and I'd like to say thank you to everyone who played and supported us through the past 8 weeks. There are already plans for another campaign this summer. The final round was particularily brutal, as there would be no other day to fight if you ran away! I found it quite refreshing to go back to pounding the tar out of each other until there were no models left to pound on. See the results here: villagegamessdg.blogspot.com/Thanks! Chris

If you start another one please post up here. My wife and I tried SBH out a few weeks ago and would love to get in on it.

rmeister0:
Mike plans on starting a new campaign in June of this year. We will certainly be posting on these forums when we are about to start.
Where are you from?

Chris is right in that we are looking at the June/July time frame for starting the next campaign. Chris and I have started discussions about tweaks to the campaign rules to better suit the local group. If you want to get a jump start on preparations, we do require that all figures are painted and based. Also, each person is expected to bring finished terrain, felt cut-outs are not acceptable. Any figure in the 25mm-32mm range is fine and we do not have any restrictions on base size nor shape. We do allow custom units, but they have to be voted up by the group after a playtest is done to evaluate them. Mike Z

I live in Maple Grove; its not a bad drive except during rush hour I have a number of foam terrain elements; is there a range of sizes you're looking for? Right now I'm painting up some GW Night Goblins. The only thing I didn't find in the list was something to go with the Fanatic model, which I have to have in the warband just for comedic value. Otherwise I'll steal my wife's Dwarfs, and the official lists have 'em covered pretty good. Will you be starting at 300 points?

I have a number of foam terrain elements; is there a range of sizes you're looking for? Each player is responsible for the terrain of their 3 home territories as well as one of the public territories. You have free reign for your home territories, but will have to follow the instructions for the public territory that you pick at sign-up time. As I mentioned, we do allow custom units using the point system found in the download section. To prevent abuse of the system, all custom units have to be voted upon by the group. 300 Points is the default starting value. I don't believe that we'll change it, but it is possible. However, warbands do grow, so it is best to have around 500-600 points ready so that you'll have choices as the campaign progresses. Full details for the Summer Campaign will be posted in the April/May time frame. Mike Z
