www.wombatzone.com/files/MDRGbuilder.htmlRay did it again… this is a builder for MDRG and its two supplements/variant books so many of the rules listed there will make no sense at the moment, just ignore them. I am using it to keep track of new troops and abilities in the new books. Yes I know what you are thinking-- TWO books? More about this later.
We have to decide on how many points a 5 character warband should be built. My idea is around 250 or a bit more. Please try to stat up your current models (those you have created with the random method) using the builder and let's see what their cost would be if they were built with the software… so we can reverse engineer the point allowance of a band. Make sure that you apply the same limitations listed in the book. For example you cannot give C4 to a human, but you may give him C2, or C3 if he's your champion. You may give the models lower stats to represent dregs, sick or ill-fed people, etc. Please let me know how it works for you. As soon as we have a total, this will be made official and I'll do a free "how to use the MDRG builder" PDF.

I've just been having a mess around on this and can't figure out how to add more than one Food or Fuel Cell to a profile. What have I missed?.

well, I was going to ask Ray a function to do that, but then I realized it didn't make sense. Since you can freely swap food, ammo etc with other characters, all players would buy food, ammo etc with the lowest Q character so they pay only 1 point for food etc. So for the moment my idea is that we add food, cells etc as a flat add on cost, using the maximum numbers you could possibly roll in MDRG (for food it is 9 character points= 9 food point). Opinions on this welcome.

Of course one could say the same for ALL equipment. This is why I was not a fan of point systems in MDRG from the start. Play two games in a campaign and the point system doesn't mean much... unless you want to disallow stealing from friends and looting, which is a key concept of post apocalypse gaming IMHO.
