I want to make a Thundarr the Barbarian/He-Man style campaign with a few friends and want some magic in there to emulate that. I know there is shared rules with SOBH, but how compatible is MDRG with that magic system or just in general? Or could I just introduce the more sci-fi elements within MDRG to SOBH using the point costs in character building as options?
I know it would take away from the spirit of randomness MDRG stresses going with the points built warband mechanic, with jamming magic options in there depending on its compatibility. Maybe I should cobble a new magic user class somehow? So maybe I just answered my own questions, but I would really appreciate some feedback or suggestions on this. Thank you.
