a question about the rules:
1) wood areas: I think is not clear both in the italian/english rules. If a man on the edge of the wood fire his musket I think all the enemies can sight him and fire back, not only the soldiers in base contact with the external wood area.
some suggestions:
2) lines and volley fire arc: my opinion is that if I have for example a 6 men in double rank line than the group have a group volley fire line of 180° both front and rear, instead of 360°. more group movment and correct use of the leader...
3) hand to hand combat and fallen foe: will be nice a little rule, if the fallen foe win the combat can (happen a lot of time in our games):
a) standing up for free immediately (and pinning the opponent)
or
b) if won the hth combat with odd number on die=standing up immediately, won with even number die=knocked down then loser
both are good for a reason, important in my opinion: if the fallen foe win the combat can't stop the attacking model to leave the hth combat with a second action walk move...not nice!
many thanks in advance

I add my questions.
It is about morale.
1) when is taken? I mean immediately after one of the conditions are applied?
2) When I make the morale test for example for reaching the 50% of losses, I make the roll for every figure. Once these figures may have moved one or two movements towards the closest table edge, the effect is finished? If a soldier is moved out the battlefield I suppose is lost? isn't it?

Pfage: yes the wooded area shooting rule is not clear in the rules. I've just published a post in my blog with a self-explaining diagram. drumsandshakos.blogspot.comFor the other rules proposals: we try to avoid any facing in the man to man combat. H-t-h with a fallen foe: please feel free to try them and let us know... Dadiepiombo: yes the morale is done immediately and yes, there are no further consequences if it is passed. Model exiting the table are lost. Cheers Sergio

the key to the way Morale works in the "Song" games is to remember that we play on very small tables. So generally, one fleeing move or two could be enough to move the soldier out of the table, unless they were really in the middle of the table (where, we suppose, the heath of the action is taking place). If you play on larger tables, the morale rules may not work or give odd results.

Pfage: man to man combat. H-t-h with a fallen foe: please feel free to try them and let us know... an opponent with 3 actions (with elite is very easy) actually can in the same turn: 1) move in hth combat with my fallen man 2) loose the combat 3) move away in base to base contact with another my man pinning it thare are more technically good options here but this kind of things could change a little (we are speaking about rare situations) the flexibility and power of small expensive elite squads we test it in more games... thanks again

Guten Abend, Sergio! Is it correct, that a Modell inside a wood can shoot at 1S Range from a other Modell also inside the same wood, but not from a Modell that also in 1S Range but still outside the wooden area? Or can a Modell standing outside shoot 1S Range inside the wood? Thanks for answering, Michael
