How do the HAT 28mm hard plastic scale up with Perry, Victrix, 28mm metals from Front Rank? It would be cool if you could post a pic or two with these models side by side with traditional 28mms. Andrea

hi Andrea,
they bill them as '28mm' but they are much more like average 25mm figures, i'll post a side by side comparison with the perry and victrix as i get them painted,

Jim, They look absolutely excellent and are very inspirational - the main reason I go on forums such as these is to keep my own painting motivation going (especially when I'm painting up models for a ruleset I've just been introduced to, such as SDS) :-) I've just finished some 15mm Essex Voltigeurs of my own using Histoire & Collections "The French Imperial Guard Foot Soldiers" as a uniform guide. Their plumes are all green (or green and red) with white trousers. Any chance you could give a little background as to your colour scheme please (they look far better than the ones I've been using). Very much looking forward to your Perrys and Victrix, Blaxkleric www.fantorical.blogspot.com/

hi Blaxkleric, Thanks for the kind words, i hate to admit it, i have many bookshelves of uniform references, but i painted these using the box cover as a reference I finished some perry riflemen today for SDS but it was too dark to photo them, hopefully i'll get them photographed tomorrow and will post them up. regards jim

Blaxkleric,
i followed your sig link,
excellent work on the blog, i like your idea of SDS with bases of 15s to give it a 'large skirmish' feel.
when you get some games in with them i hope we'll get a report!
regards
jim

Jim, Many thanks for the quick reply (and praise for the blog). Just as soon as I've painted up a British Force I'll be doing a battle report - even if its so Sergio can go over it and give me some pointers if my rule interpretations are going astray :-) I've tracked down the Hat plastics box cover artwork. Thanks. I plan to use those colours for my next series of Voltigeur bases. All my best Blaxkleric www.fantorical.blogspot.com/
