Well I got the ok to go from the wife. Now I just need to get one of my friends to go to share hotel expenses.
How does the gaming work at Origins? Is there a lot of gaming going on all over the place like at GenCon? I can pretty much find a game to play 24hrs day there. Or, do I need to plan out my days based on official event listings? The only thing I would 100% want to do is SAH. I must see it and hopefully play it.

There are planned players (who book the event when they pay for the tickets) and players who use generic "tokens" to play any game with a free slot. The planned players are given precedence over the generic. I would say it is generally not a problem to find some games going on from 9 AM to 6-7 PM. Some roleplaying and LARP goes on during the night. Boardgamers are a little everywhere and there are spontaneous tables forming in the halls and even in the corridors and in the hotels.

It seems there will be a slight variation as on one day the games will start at 12 and not at 9 AM. I'll keep you posted as soon as I know the variations.

Hi everyone, You can pre-register for games, and if it is something that you definitely want to do, I suggest it. For example, Zeke's "The Vault" game was popular and full everytime he ran it last year. That said, many miniatures events will have open slots for people to join in with generic tickets/tokens, as Andrea said. Rich, I hope you can make it, too, to run Flying Lead. That'll be a nice addition. The link to get the Origins spreadsheet listing events is here: www.originsgamefair.com/Events/tabid/2794/Default.aspxI haven't looked at it yet, but probably will today or tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing folks in Columbus in June! Mike Demana

It was great seeing Andrea and Sergio again at Origins. Every time I walked by their tables, they seemed busy with folks learning the rules and moving figures around on the table. They seemed to be happy with the way it went.
I dropped them off at the airport earlier today. They won't be getting home till around noon tomorrow (Italy time). So, don't expect an update for a day or so from them.

Origins was great in large part to Ganesha Games.
My daughter and I had a great time playing the SoBH demo and the ToBH adventure!
For some reason I can't upload the pics.
The coolest thing was to meet Andrea and Sergio in person. They were both great guys.
