We have a house rule we implemented in the game if there are medics included in a warband.
Since medics have a chance of restoring an OoA (Out of Action) figure we didn't want OoA figures cluttering up the board for too long and we wanted to add a desperate timing mechanism to force the medic to reach an OoA figure before they Bleed Out.
We plan to only use this rule if a warband has a medic included with them. If a figure goes OoA and its warband does not include a medic, that figure is removed from the board as normal.
Bleed Out: If a figure goes Out of Action (OoA) and its warband includes a medic, indicate that the figure is OoA by placing a token or laying it on its side (or any other way you want to indicate it's status). At the end of that figure's warband turn, make a Quality check on 1 die for the OoA figure (this check is not modified by any bonuses). If the check is passed, the figure remains on the board in an OoA state. If the check is failed, the figure has bled out and removed as a casualty.

That's a cool idea for one-off games, but it would probably severely mess with you in a campaign game. I could see implementing it in our group for non-campaign games, though.

It is designed for one-off games as we don't play a lot of campaign games. I would definitely not use it in a campaign game.

We originally had a bleed out rule but it meant bookkeeping between teams and the Ganesha game philosophy is to avoid this when possible ... so the 0 success is meant to be a 'oops to late they bled out' type thing.
The original was that the medic was at one worse quality for the check for every 2 turns the OOA character was left before they got there. It was quite severe though esp in campaign terms. Next idea was a check just like your idea ... but in the end it got canned.
