I've finally gotten around to update my blog with a battle report of my last SBH-game. It's the conclusion of the short campaign I've posted about earlier. ministuff.godzilla.se/#post8In short: Horrible defeat for the automaton guardians of the pyramid! With only two guys lost, the champion bites the bullet (or actually, a mace...) and the rest of the gang flees! =( /Phreedh

Fantastic looking terrain and figures (That pyramid is very nice!) Thanks for the recap and I agree that running into the enemy was anti-climatic. We don't play nearest table edge for retreats. Instead, we play that warbands retreat toward their deployment zones. This works better for us and it solves the problem you encountered and one we didn't like seeing happen in the game. Using our house rule in the above game, the warband in the middle would have retreated toward the opposite table edge of the enemy's deployment zone.
Did you make that pyramid and what material was used to make it?

Newb, that's exactly what we felt too - fleeing towards the opponent's table edge just didn't make sense. We didn't change the rules there and then, but we'll house rule that.
Yup, I made that pyramid in an evening. =) I'm posting a how-to on my blog, but basically it's just carved styrofoam and gravel + glue and paint.

I look forward to the pyramid how-to blog. It makes a good centerpiece/objective.
Edit: I just noticed you placed the how-to on your blog. Thanks!
