Predator - Personality Points:78 Quality:3 Combat:3 -Shuriken/Small Thrown Knives, Acrobat, Body Armor, CQB Specialist, Crackshot/Marksman, Fearless, Slippery, Stealth

We actually had the predator's visible camo ability as meaning that if they used a short movement and passed a quality test they could count as being hidden even when moving between terrain.
We had the shoulder mounted weapon as +3, Medium range, Move and Fire but +1 on firing when stationary due to the ability for it to target lock as they looked around. Fearless is a moot ability unless there is something to 'fear' so we left it off. We used the Copplestone Future War Predator Hunters.

Cheers Rich - you've just proved again that a bit of lateral thinking and a "less is more" approach works better than the more complicated option - you've saved me a lot of head scratching!

I have my Vacation Alien all painted up pretty, and was wondering how stat him out myself. I kind of figured he would be the entirety of one force, and figured the sky's the limit on the stats. I figured Q2 C6 would about cover his moving invisible, targetting computer, and everything. I hadn't really put too much thought into stating the gun yet.

Not to highjack this thread, but this is a question for richjones: What did you decide the point costs were for the shoulder mounted weapon and the camo ability? I really like your ideas for them. I was trying to come up with something that was already in the rules and it looks like this:
Predator 130 pts, Q3 C3 Climber,Danger Sense,Dashing,Difficult Target,"Fanatic",Hero,Light/Bushwacker,Running Blow,Stealth
I took Fanatic for the what it does, not the name itself--for example, when "cloaked" and charging an opponent, the target gets a -1 to the Quality roll to see if they can shoot the incoming attacker. I used Difficult Target to reflect the camo, but it did seem a bit weak. Danger Sense was to reflect the the enhanced senses, but still didn't exactly reflect the ability to detect hidden targets through their heat signatures. Any ideas on how to do that?
Predator Weapons Claw, 5 pts Combat +1 -- though I might take the bonus off because Fanatic gives a +1 bonus already ... Shoulder Blaster, 28 pts Combat +4,Move & Shoot,Range: Medium -- again, I like how you did the shoulder blaster with the tracking idea.
I'm trying to capture the feel of the original Predator movie. One predator verses a group, where stealth and hit & run tactics serves the predator player better than raw fire power.
Another idea for the camo was to use the dummy counters as suggested for the suicide bomber on page 32 of the Flying Lead rules ... too many possibilities ... ;D

We just made it they could test to 'spot' hidden characters within 2xLONG The dummy idea would work well as would the Hearts and Minds idea about camo making them harder to spot (+1 Quality on spotter) if you said they were hidden all the time.
