Recently my boys have go into Gi Joe, they love the figures and comics. I use to have Action Force when i was a lad, and they weren't all pose able like these new ones There is also a wealth of scenario ideas to be had from the comics and the internet. This is one of my favorite websites: www.bloodforthebaron.com/index.htmlMy main question is have you any recommendations for Gi Joe / Action Force type figures in 15mm scale. I would love to find some Baron Iron Blood and Red Shadow trooper proxies. I am pretty sure i can find something post 1945 that would work for Z Force and the SAS. Q Force and Space Force my be a little tricky but i am sure you guys can help. Ian

You don't need any specifically Action Force miniatures...
Just get some modern 1:72 scale miniatures (I think they're about 15-20mm aren't they?) and paint them in lurid "comic book" colours. ;D
If I remember correctly, the COBRA footsoldiers were just blue soldiers with helmets and masks, with the the squad leaders in red.
Those should be pretty easy to create. A box of WW2 Germans have COBRA-style rounded helmets. Paint them blue, with the lower half of their faces in black to represent the COBRA masks and your sorted.
As for Action Force/COBRA personalites, you just need an interesting mini that you can give a unique paint job or conversion to. Mechanics, pilots and various officer models can make unique personalities with very little work.
There are also a wealth of 15mm Ninja models that can be used ( I think Essex Miniatures and others do a range of 15mm Ninjas).
You can pick up 1:72 modern minis (in plastic) from loads of manufacturers, and as they are plastic, they are easy to convert with a hobby knife, a steady hand and a blob of glue.
Hope that helps...

I've been doing a lot of 1/72 for Flying Lead lately. They are great because they are cheap, though they are 20mm, and way too big for 15mm figs.

Thanks for the ideas guys. 1/72 - 20mm isn't such a big deal, it is just that my scenery is 10-15mm :-) ...Mmm i am sure one of my boys has some modern plastic germans, i might just find them out and have a go at converting some. If they are successful i will post some pictures, but don't hold yur breath ;-)
Cheers,
Ian
