Swlion and I have been trying out the various scenarios in the SBH rulebooks and we have been playing the Breakthrough scenario from the SDG rulebook for the past couple of games. Here are some pics of last night game. I setup a map using some new terrain recently acquired and we limited the play area between two fences so we were roughly using a 4'x4' area. The outside areas were just for aesthetics. Gameboard: Swlion was the defender and setup first with his evil warband while I setup as far in the corner as I could with my Warforged warband. I tried to make an end-run to the other side but some amazingly bad rolls for activations kept me from moving for two turns. Swlion had better activations overall (he wasn't pushing his units as fast I was trying to do) and he blocked most of my units from getting through the area. Here are some pics of the board during the middle of the game: Swlion ending up winning 11 points to my 6 points. It was a great game overall. We are looking at ways to tweak the scenario a little bit to help out the Attacker but the scenario is a fun one to try.

The majority of my units were Q:4 and LilNewbie's were all Q:3. Newb had some bad early rolls in the beginning of the game that turned over to me.
I never rolled more than 2 dice for my Leader (The Warduke Q:2 C:3) so he wasn't risking a turnover, and he was used for most of the game for repositioning for his Leadership values. Also, I never rolled more than 2 dice for a figure activation, so my turnover rate would hopefully be low. I did turnover 2 key times during the game whicj almost gave the game to Newb.
I like the scenario, but we need more games with it to see if it is really balanced. I agree with Newb, the defender seems to have a slight advantage in the scenario.

I really like the table set up, glad too hear that others have bad rolls in their game :-) Ian
