This is the system we are using for a quick one night FL comp at our club ... may be of use for people wanting to do the same as it keeps the same force for the evening but they can take some sort of damage:
Osama Bin'everywear smiled while fondly stroking the goat who was sitting next to him. His master plan was working, an invite to all the nations of the known worlds to send their crack fighting teams for a competition ... who would gain the title of being the 'Ultimate Fighting Unlimited Champions' of the known world.
8 teams converging on the abandoned planet (well it was now OB had sent in his 'negotiators' to broker the deal) gave a variety of fighting areas - each team would wear special sensors, knocking out their nervous system in parts when hit, replicating injuries perfectly. Anyone KIA would return the next round, but could have residue damage which could limit their performance.
But this wasn't the reason OB was smiling, no indeed, the reason for the manic smile and undue goat fondling was the planet was rigged to explode. His special technicians had already prepared 6 different vids ... each nation claiming responsibility for the explosion. As well as getting rid of 8 of the best fighting forces in the world ... the universe would break into open war ... for OB the future was very bright indeed!
OK .. normal 600 point forces from the army builder (should give between 4 and 10 figs) only addition is hard body armour cost an extra 4 points to the body armour on the builder. After the game any casualties test on table below:
Throw d6 against quality, 1d if walking wounded, 2d if worse 3d if Out of Action 4d if KIA,
Check number of failures on chart below:
1 fail - OK but knackered - after game turn 5 the character can only move short.
2 fails - still a bit concussed - as above and fires at -1 for game.
3 fails - shaken up badly - as above and counts as one worse quality for any morale checks
4 fails - as above but IS one worse quality from NOW on for all games in the evening!
VPs will be as normal - points divided by 50 plus scenario points (both players put down 2 objects - one dummy and one worth 5 VP in their table half for the enemy to try and retrieve - their flag!).
At games end the player can 'bank' TVPs (tournament victory points) at VPx3 OR try and make it better by throwing a d6 per VP and adding up the pips - can do a combination
