hello,
I try to charge in close combat with my model with fear special rule. the opponent fail morale test and goes away...now:
1) when the test is made? at the start of the charge movement or immediately after my model touch the opponent base?
2) my model with fear special rule can redirect the charge to a second model if the first goes away?
3) there is also the possibility that more than one opponent test and goes away, meaning that my model stay ... where? in the middle like a ... and fired upon in the next turn from all the opponent models?
the fear system, the same of others Ganesha games, is little confusing when a model with fear rule charge normal models ... is possible for the charger to don't reach any opponent if they test for fear and flee...
my opinion is that maybe is better give a malus in close combat if charged by a fearing model failing any fear test
thanks in advance

I believe it goes like this You declare your intention to charge . The figure you're charging makes his fear test and reacts based on his dice rolls. If he stays or runs away you have already declared your intention to charge him , so you follow your declaration and move. You may not reach him as he may have recoiled a short and evaded you. .
I'm nor sure how more than one oppent could be effected by a charging figure with fearin Flying lead? Hope this helps Dex

In FL the fear rules just means the target charged by a character they 'fear' rolls 2d6 against Quality (Morale rule so may be helped by officers etc) and may run off, this will be a max of 2 short so if you have planned the charge well they will be caught anyway as the test is made as the charge begins. They can not effect more than one character unless it would be possible to contact both. Rich
