some questions:
1) using standard grenades: the Q test is the fixed basic model's value or can I use the +1 Q for any Leader/NCO around?
2) grenades launcher UGL and GMG pag 49 H&M
I'm confused here: "C+3 for determining hit" what do you mean? Have I to use the model's Q like a standard grenades thrown (with a longer range thanks to the rifle) or have I to use the C +3 to check if I hit the target (like with an assault rifle) without any Quality roll?
why UGL have "C+3 for determining hit" and GMG only C+3? Are these weapons different with different fire procedures?
Can you please explain better the use of grenades launcher and the different procedure from models throwing std grenades?
3) all the modern assault rifles in H&M have select fire (or select fire II) and autofire rules togheter.
If I read the select fire rule on FL I have to use a smaller stick to use autofire. If I read the autofire rule on FL I can use autofire without any range penalty. So if both the rules are on a weapon I think that we can use always the autofire at max range if we need. so at the end, select fire rule mean only that I can fire at a single target (or 2 different targets for select fire II)...Is it right? Select fire is not redundant here?
thx in advance Paolo

1/ it is a base test so leaders do not help. 2/ a grenade machine gun is Very different indeed, read the descriptions. A UGL uses the firing rules outlined in H&M 3/ auto fire is different in H&m for weapons with autofire II. You can fire a burst without the range modifier but can only effect one extra target. If you fire full auto you reduce stick like in core rules.

The UGL uses the same mechanism in Hearts and Minds as the RPG or HE cannon fire ... pick a point to aim at, the target counts a a C2 for the roll ... the UGL counts as C3 for the roll but when it hits you treat as a grenade. It is NOT the same as a rifle grenade in the core rules as it is a vastly different beast!
