hi Sergio it was a question to post here ... now I saw you are just working on tournaments rules... fantastic!!! we played a lot of tournaments in our 20 years of 3d game, actually cause work, childs, motivation for us is very difficult play a tournament...but I'm sure SDS will be a new begin some suggestions/options: 1) Squad: some limit to the choices is one way, another very nice way is some pre-made balanced squads (like that one on your blog) for every country, so no point only a choice of a ready list (for example, French: line infantry squad, light infantry squad, young guard, ecc). Read this in Aquile per L'Impero, an elaborate italian rule system for some tournaments 2) Scenarios: is very important that the scenarios could give an option over fire-fire-hand to hand combat. You know this, a tournament call for 2-4 games at day with possibly different scenarios...better based on some objectives 3) fix a post here, closed, where you can write and update tournaments date. I saw only today that rhere was SDS/SBH in Carpi...sic no pubblicity at all we are sure that SDS will be the perfect tournament game in napoleonic era. but also tournament rules are very good to play with some friends during one evening...so SDS non only for small scenario but (for us better) for a pick-up game! ciao

The Carpi event was arranged at the last moment because initially they didn't have a table space for us, then only on Friday we got a greenlight. Anyway, it was announced on TMP and on our site. Generally, we'll try to announce these things one week in advance so watch the News on www.ganeshagames.net/news/ Also make sure you add me on facebook and twitter as I use those for last minute messages.

Pfaghe, thanks for the suggestions, tournament play can be quite different from friendly pick up games I think, and fixed scenario would need a very long playtesting. What people like about our games is that they can play with whatever they have, be a handful fo pieces or an entire Army to choose with. I don't think I'll change this. I know Aquile per l'Impero and (once) appreciated it, but to do a work like that would mean force players to choose within a fixed list of squads. We can think about fixed Tournaments (themed ones), but the normal SDS tourney will be (at least for the moment) free. For what concerns the event calendar there will be surely more than one: here, in Ganesha website and in my blog Cheers Sergio
