Hi everybody I am fairly new to the game, having bought it less than 12 hours ago . I have been playing to Song of Drums and Shakos for over a year and I was intrigued by modern combat, so I got some figures and started reading the book. While I obviously enjoy the mechanics and fast pace of the game, I find the lack of profiles a bit disheartening. I mean, it's a very generic system with very customisable characters... but perhaps this versatility comes at a fairly high price, since I need a laptop with Internet connection to write up a list of some sort . After having gone a few times from cover to cover, I guess the only sensible thing is to stick to SWAT (no leader though ) and Terrorist Cell profiles for the quick and easy game I had in mind - I know it is a waste of the potential behind the game, but then again, what choice does one have? I think the game would greatly benefit from Stat lists à la SDS. That would make it both easier to write a list and have a "first sight" impression of what's hot and what's not (the " Okay, I am sure you've paid the right price for them, but why are your Angolan mercenaries better than my Delta Force " kind of argument). Thanks in advance S.

There are a lot of profiles in there in the scenarios ... there was no room for other lists like in SDS as we had taken all the room up etc ... new profiles will be in the detailed supplements for genre like in Hearts and Minds. Considering it is likely to be a PDF set of rules for most people making the list up should be easy

You can also save the builders to a hard drive and run them even when you're not connected to the internet.
If I'm not mistaken Flying Lead uses the same formula as SBH so if you copy the cost of the Special Rules down you can calculate your own units.
Weapons cost is simply a total of the Special Rules for that weapon.
