I just found this Predator mini I have been dying to get ahold of. They gave me the option of a slotted or unslotted base. I just wasnt sure what the advanteges are from one over the other.

Do you have a link to the manufacturer?
If the model has a tab on the bottom of it's feet? If that is the case you'll want a slotted base.
If it doesn't have a tab, or you wish to cut the tab off, you'll want an unslotted base.

I've seen that model before and have held it in my hand. It's a good looking fig, and they're not lying when they say he's big!
It is a tabbed model, and I would stick with a slotted base just for ease of assembly.
