Sorry to bring this matter to light again...
P.17 says
A model within 1x Short distance of the point of impact is automatically knocked out and receives a Combat 3 attack [...]
Out of action characters are affected as normal (the grenade receives -1 due to the target being prone but also +2 for Fallen/shaken).
P. 29 says
Once the point has been determined, work out the effect as for a grenade blast. However, all characters in the area are automatically knocked prone, moving one base width away from the blast, before any other result is applied.
This said:
- RPGs knock down their targets FIRST and THEN try to kill them, what about grenades? Do they do the same? - RPGs get a +2 bonus against everybody in the blast area that isn't pushed outside the blast area (so a 2+2 Combat value). If somebody is pushed out of the blast area it's 2 (Combat value 1 for targets outside the blast area, knocked out at over short range -1, knocked out +2). Grenades simply get 3 in the blast area without any extra fuss as they don't knock the targets down before damaging them. Correct? - Grenades/RPGs both gain the damage bonus when hitting someone inside a building (the effects being worked out as for a grenade blast). Correct?

Thank you, I guess it solves the other as well. I still think that +2 to attack downed opponent and any result kills are a bit powerful combination, but I guess I'll have to snipe those RPGs down, period .

Hi The intention is it knocks them prone ... they do not automatically suffer the +2 on the first attack as well as being knocked prone ... some wording was changed in the proof/edit and slipped through my checking I think.

It's getting slightly complex then. The book explicitly states that downed models out of action are hit with +2. So figures downed by that shot/grenade are hit on normal C value (2 for RPGs and 3 for grenades), all passes kill. Figures that were already down are hit on C+2, all passes kill. Deal ?

Not complex at ALL:
Blasts knock figures PRONE (who are closest) not knocked down (whatever the wording ended up being) - then you work out the damage, they are prone but the blast is within a short so they get no advantage being prone (cos actually it was all happening at the same time).
IF the figure was already 'knocked down' or 'shaken' they would suffer the +2 on the damage roll.
Remember prone is not knocked down.
I will get the wording changed (already thought it had been).

I'm sorry, it might have been due to the terms used in the translation.
