A poll would be too limited, so I just throw the question out: if you were or have built warbands from scratch which model ranges would/do you use?

Most of my fantasy stuff is from Reaper. I have a ton of GW fantasy stuff as well. For the most part I just get things I think look cool. While the two I menitoned make up the bulk of my fantasy stuff I also have stuff from Rackham, Darksword, Hasselfree, Heresy and many other companies.

My daughter and I use 15mm Splintered Light minis. But I think I'm going to do some solo dungeon crawling with my Reaper and old WOTC Chainmail minis. Put all those monster minis for D&D that I never get to use to work.

So far I have only been using prepainted D&D minis.
If I ever get good at painting, I'd like to pick up some higher quality minis, if only to build my "favorite" warband. But for the most part, the D&D minis do the job just fine.

I'm using mostly Splintered Light and Eureka for my warbands, with smatterings of other manufacturers.
Cheers, Ben.

In 15mm I am mostly using Chariot Miniatures and East Riding Miniatures. I also use rebased prepainted Combat Hex Lord of the Rings figures, which are around 40mm.

I love minis, and I use a lot of different ranges.
Most of what I use comes from Reaper, Games Workshop, and D&D Minis. I've used a lot of MegaMinis in my undead army as they are inexpensive and are great for filling in ranks and files.
The warband I'm running now in our campaign contains Reaper, Dreamblade, Mega Minis, and Games Workshop.
It would be nice to have a thread with links to people's favorite fantasy mini manufacturers.

I am using mostly DnD and Games Workshop "Lord of the Rings" and "Warhammer" miniatures. Have also a nice selection of 15mm ones (from Caesar) but they need painting :-p

Tons of GW miniatures, lots of foundry and a sprinkle of others like copplestone, hasslefree etc. Love the reaper range but seems to be hard to find in the UK.also the kids like using GoGo's for monsters and mutants.

Loads of GW stuff, some of it truly ancient. I also have BTD, Heresy, Foundry,Grenadier and quite a few as yet unidentified mins. By that I mean my failing memory has let me done again. I also have a few plastic pre-paints that I've used in SOBH, MDRG and F&F.
I agree with Medievalbard that Reaper can prove tricky to find. Awhile ago I sent numerous mails to their UK stockist ( Minifigs ? ) but never received a reply. I think they have a new UK supplier but I've no idea who this is.

I'm really just getting started, so I bought some prepainted DND minis for a couple of quick armies. The rest of my armies are from Splintered Light. I hope to have some painted up in a few weeks.

DDM (Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures) for standard Fantasy games and GW's LotR/WotR for our SBH version of LotR.

OneMonk is the way I go. Except for 2 boxed armies that "Santa" gave my son for Christmas, I haven't bought any minis since he quit collecting Star Wars and Heroclix.

I've only played Heroclix & Star Wars minis, so I use and repaint those. I'm just getting into other (better) miniature games and haven't yet gotten any new ones since I started playing SBH. Looking forward to getting my first lead miniature that is my creation from start. I also use Battletech miniatures, which are lead, but they were already painted when I bought them. I use them for Sci Fi robots. Battletech is too slow & detailed for my taste. As soon as I started playing SBH I went and got a few Heroscape figs too. The pre-painted plastic games are the only ones I can get locally.
