Hi, In eager anticipation of FL, I was looking to start picking up some miniatures for a modern day/Iraqi style conflict, and was wondering if the writers could give some vague indication of the sizes of the parties in his version ruleset.
I'm looking for top of the line, armed Marines vs (hopefully) a larger squad of less disciplined and poorly equipped militia.
About how many figures for each side do you think I should pick up?

The average points for a game will be higher than in a sobh game to enable the same sort of force size. So you are looking on about 4-7 US and 10 or more militia depending on how you skill and arm them up.

the point system in FL will be a bit different from other games because we have to factor in weapons which have a cost on their own, for example an assault rifle costs 22 or more points. You may end up spending even 150+ points on a single good quality figure, and even unexpensive militia will be around 60 points each if armed with AK-47's or the like. In general, count US troops around 80-100 points each and insurgents at around 60-70.
