is possible to fire a single shot with auto fire or is this possible only with select fire weapon? i thought so but reading the rules i understood it differently.
i'm trying to stat wild west weapon to create a campaign following the line of Deeds and Glory, how would you stat a Winchester rifle? thanks to You and Rick for the beatiful work and keep on, we are waiting for Frontline heroes....

Auto fire will not allow a single shot - you can 'aim a burst' which in the edits were called 'aimed shot' for consistency maybe. But select fire weapons give the option although there are some disadvantages. If you were taking FL back to WW stuff (or Firefly etc) I'd treat the Winchester as a bolt action rifle - just the 'bolt' is at the bottom while others would need an action to reload. Biggest thing with taking it backwards out of period is the fact we have said that weapons are reloaded auto at end of activation which takes the difference away a bit ... in cases where there are a lot of weapons that need reloading and only a few 'bolt action' or better weapons I'd drop this rule and say it takes an action to reload (like in SDS) and marked unloaded rifles with a bit of cotton wool smoke. yes, i'm a SDS player and used the reload mecanic and the smoke markers. so i think to for normal rifle the slow trait, for single shot hunting rifle very slow reload with an action to aim mandatory to shoot. I was thinking to add to whinchester, the move and shoot trait, your Opinion? thank you Rich.

As it is out of the period designed you will have to use judgement ... moving fire was put in primarily to distinguish semi autos from Bolt Action rifles. I think it would be too strong for a winchester unless it was the ONLY way you distinguished it from other rifles which may actually work as the normal rifles of the period were not as difficult to reload as a musket.
